I’m not Anti-Semitic … I’m Anti-Zionism

Zionism is the national movement of the Jewish people that supports the re-establishment of a Jewish homeland in the territory defined as the historic Land of Israel.

The Zionism movement is not by nature to the exclusion of other people who have settled in the historic Land of Israel. The fact that there is a conflict situation is not due to Zionism.

In 1947, the United Nations proposed the Partition Plan offering Jews and Arabs their own states. The Jews accepted the Partition Plan while the Arabs rejected it, with a number of Arab states starting a war in 1948 that they lost. The rejection of a peaceful solution by the Palestinians and Arabs has been an ongoing theme since then.

While there have been hundreds of national independence movements in modern times, few are fortunate enough to receive an offer of fully recognized sovereign statehood. Including 1947, the Palestinians have received four. From Tibet to Kurdistan, such opportunities remain a dream.
